In contrast with the L30 Gatling laser, this model is not only fully automatic and has a much larger ammo capacity, requiring a back-mounted battery pack, but was also mass produced for military use. In Fallout and Fallout 2, map markers are green circles on the world map, some of which can, on re-entering a given location, also be divided into sub-locations, marked with a green triangle on the town map. In Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76, map markers enable fast travel to the location once discovered.
